We provide practical, engaging and evidence-based wellbeing workshops on a range of topics. These are facilitated by highly skilled clinical psychologists who are passionate about supporting individuals to improve connectedness, cognitive flexibility, resilience, self-compassion and engagement in their work.

Workshop Topics

  • Through self-reflection, group discussion and evidence-based educational material, participants will be guided through the following learning objectives:

    • Defining stress and burnout and the difference between the two

    • Identifying contributors to stress and the development of burnout in your workplace

    • Recognising signs and symptoms of stress and burnout and how to engage in proactive interventions

    • Psychological strategies for stress management and burnout prevention

    • Solution focussed discussion relating to local, workplace specific contributors to stress

  • Resilience is the ability to respond robustly to stress and bounce back from adversity. This workshop will equip employees with the skills they need to identify their early warning signs of stress and intervene early to reduce the likelihood of negative outcomes.

    The workshop will cover the following:

    • Define the different kinds of stress and differentiate between stress and burnout

    • Transforming distress to eustress

    • Understanding the concept of resilience and the factors that make individuals resilient to stress at work

    • Practical strategies for employees to keep themselves well and functioning optimally, including emotion regulation and self-compassion

  • Knowing our unique set of personal values can provide us with a sense of direction and motivation, guide decision making and improve problem-solving.

    This workshop will assist participants to:

    • Identify and refine their own set of unique personal and professional values

    • Understand how these values can be applied in the work context

    • Reflect on the alignment of their values to their current work, and the relationship between this and workplace wellbeing

    • Develop a set of values-based goals and an action plan to meet them

  • Using the theory underpinning Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), this wellbeing workshop will empower employees to adapt their thinking processes, recognise different perspectives and take flexible approaches to achieve desired outcomes.

    Participants will:

    • Define cognitive flexibility and understand the ways in which this skill can enhance performance in the work context

    • Understand the principles of ACT and the ways in which these can contribute to increased psychological flexibility

    • Develop practical skills and techniques that foster a more dynamic approach to thinking

  • One in five Australians will meet criteria for a mental health condition in their lifetime. More than ever, there is an understanding of the integrated nature of emotional experience and work performance.

    Attendees will be offered the opportunity to:

    • Discuss the signs and symptoms of commonly experienced mental illnesses

    • Learn how to recognise and respond when someone might be struggling with their mental health

    • Understand how to support themselves and others

    • Become aware of support options available

  • Being mindful at work involves being focused on the present moment so that we can know what we’re doing, when we’re doing it. Increasing an employee’s present-moment awareness can improve focus and productivity, promote cognitive flexibility and reduce stress.

    During this workshop, employees will:

    • Learn the science and theory behind mindfulness-based interventions

    • Participate in experiential exercises

    • Develop practical skills to promote present-moment awareness in the workplace

  • By cultivating present moment awareness and non-judgmental acceptance, staff and teams can experience reduced stress, improved job satisfaction, increased focus, creativity, and emotional regulation. These benefits can lead to a more productive and fulfilling work experience and a more connected team.

    We can facilitate:

    • Mindfulness practices either online or in person

    • 15-30 minutes

    • Option to provide and record a series of mindfulness exercises to enable ongoing use

  • Providing leaders and managers with the skills they need to feel confident in supporting the wellbeing needs of their teams.

    This workshop will assist participants to:

    • Identify signs of staff distress, and know when to facilitate referral to external supports

    • Comfortably engage in wellbeing conversations with their staff

    • Contribute to the development of a wellbeing culture of psychological safety

    • Manage emotions in the workplace

    • Support their own wellbeing

  • Grief and loss is inherently present in a modern and dynamic workplace. Organisational restructure, employee resignation and role changes all may evoke a sense of loss.

    This workshop will:

    • Explore the concept of grief in an organisational setting

    • Assist employees to connect with their own emotional responses to loss at work

    • Provide attendees with skills to respond to and manage grief at work

  • Reflective Practice is the process of learning that occurs when employees take the time to stop, think, challenge and change their work. Stepping away from a didactic teaching method, this facilitated group discussion aims to enhance group connectivity and collegial perspective taking.

    The space will support participants to:

    • Describe challenges that arise in their work

    • Explore the impact of stress on themselves and their team

    • Enhance collegial empathy, and the ability to see situations from their colleagues’ perspectives

    • Identify the strengths and protective factors within themselves and their workplace

    • Consider solutions utilising a team-based discussion model

    Provided in 3x 60 minute sessions with a maximum of 12 participants per group.

    In-person format recommended

  • The Works. Developed utilising the most current and effective interventions for workplace wellbeing, the ensō wellbeing workshop will help participants:

    • Define wellbeing and create their own personalised workplace wellbeing plan

    • Identify the stressors unique to their work setting and use a solutions-focused framework to consider how best to navigate them

    • Learn ways to manage stress and prevent burnout using cognitive, behavioural, and practical strategies

    • Feel more connected to their colleagues via a number of experiential exercises that build team cohesion and collegiate understanding

    • Increase personal and professional resilience

    • Consider their current workplace culture and what individual and systemic strategies may support an increased level of psychological safety in their workplace

    • Build their mindfulness skills via educational and experiential exercises to support present-moment awareness, non-judgemental acceptance, and increased productivity.

Delivery: Online or in person! We come to you or help you arrange an external space

Capacity: 5-50 people (or larger groups on request)

Duration: Most of our workshops can be facilitated in 60, 90 or 120 minutes. The longer the session, the more opportunity for interaction and group practice
